I’m Isabel and I have a love affair with sugar. I had my first ice cream lick when I was one and I have never turned back since.

I first decided to bake when I realised that my new school timetable gave me Mondays off. And I thought ‘What better way to perk my Mondays up than to bake’. Monday is a difficult day for everyone and that’s why I wanted to be a blessing to my friends and family by sharing a little piece of heaven with them.

But let’s face it, I don’t just bake on Mondays anymore. Baking has became my obsession – I bake during my study breaks, I bake on the weekends, I bake at every opportunity! I would have changed the name of this blog, but ‘Monday Bakeoffs’ has kind of grown on me!

This blog is simply an album of all the desserts (mostly cupcakes) that I have baked so far and to unleash my inner baking diva.

But hopefully, this will still inspire you, yes you slouching on that couch and reading this blog, to get your butt up and start baking!

    1. Hi! That sounds great! But I only bake on Mondays so is it ok to send in my Monday entry? And how do I ‘attend’ it? (I was looking through your blog and still a little confused as to how to attend it)

      1. That’s totally fine. 😀 Okay, let me explain: this Friday is part two of Fiesta Friday’s first anniversary and it will feature main dishes and desserts. When Angie (the host of the party – thenovicegardener.wordpress.com) goes live and publish her post on Friday, she will provide a link where you can link up your URL for the dessert you want to ‘submit’. And that’s it, you are now officially coming to the party. 😀 And you could also mention Angie’s blog, you know… like for example, “I am sharing these sweets to Fiesta Friday, blah blah blah”. Well, she doesn’t require that, but as being grateful to her for creating such wonderful community and party, we, the party goers, do remember to include her name in the post – to show her how happy we are. 🙂 You will find new friends, and it will be fun. ❤ If you have any questions, you can drop me an email (thenotsocreativecook@yahoo.com) and I am ready to answer any questions. 😀

  2. I can’t think of a better way to use my Mondays! Arranging my timetable to have a weekday off is my goal…maybe next year?? 🙂 You have such a cheery blog, it is a pleasure to read!
